Points on patient payments and completed procedures recorded in Dentrix

Available on request. Our team builds the Dentrix connection for your practice after a scoping call. Once we build it for your practice, patient payments and completed procedures recorded in Dentrix award points in Velarya, and Dentrix patients become Velarya members with the details the app needs. Because Dentrix runs in your office, the connection works through a small service on your Dentrix server. We choose the build route with you on the scoping call.

  • Award points on patient payments recorded in Dentrix
  • Award points for procedures marked complete in Dentrix
  • Create and update members from Dentrix patient records
  • Leave insurance payments out of points, if you choose

How it works

Available on request. Book a call, we scope it against Dentrix's published API, build and test it with your team, and it goes live in your account.

  1. On the scoping call we choose the route: the Henry Schein One API Exchange or a data hub that reads Dentrix.

  2. A small service is installed on your Dentrix server or a workstation to read the data points need.

  3. It reads completed procedures, patient payments and patient details, and sends them to Velarya over an encrypted connection.

  4. We test with your front desk before patients see points.

Each connection is scoped on a call and quoted separately, and the timeline is agreed on that call.

Questions

About the Dentrix connection

Does Velarya integrate with Dentrix?

Available on request: our team builds the connection for your practice after a scoping call, using the Dentrix API that Henry Schein One publishes to developers, or a data hub that reads Dentrix. We pick the route with you.

Why does Dentrix need something installed in our office?

Dentrix keeps its data on your own server, and Henry Schein One designs the Dentrix API for on-premise use. A small service on your Dentrix server or a workstation reads the data and passes it to Velarya, so your team keeps working in Dentrix as usual.

Which Dentrix version do we need?

For the data hub route, Dentrix G6.2 or later. For a direct build through Henry Schein One's program, we confirm the version details with you on the scoping call.

Will insurance-paid work earn points?

Only if you want it to. We agree with you which Dentrix transactions count, such as patient payments only, so insurance payments can stay out of points. You set the earning rules; if you bill federal programs, talk to your counsel about patient incentives.

Who installs the office service?

Your IT contact, or whoever looks after the Dentrix server, with our team on the call. The data hub installer needs a Windows account with administrator rights on that server.

Patient data

Patient details, procedures and payments are protected health information, so Velarya signs a Business Associate Agreement with your practice before data flows. The office service reads only the fields points and member profiles need, and chart content stays in Dentrix. We confirm Henry Schein One's terms for Dentrix patient data on the scoping call.
