Introduction

This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your Velarya account and what happens to your information when you do. It applies to End Users who access medical spas, aesthetic clinics, and similar businesses ("Clinics") through mobile applications built on the Velarya platform.

This policy supplements our Privacy Policy. Where this policy and the Privacy Policy address the same topic, both apply together.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from within the app at any time:

  1. Open your Velarya-powered app and sign in.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select Delete account.

  4. Confirm your request when prompted.

Once you confirm, your account is scheduled for deletion and you will be signed out. No further action is required on your part.

If you have already uninstalled the app and can no longer access these settings, you may request deletion by emailing us at hello@velarya.com from the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

2. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal information associated with it, including your name, email address, phone number, and login credentials; your appointment history and service preferences; your membership and rewards program data; and your saved profile information.

We do not store complete payment card numbers. Card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., and are subject to Stripe's own retention practices.

3. What May Be Retained

We may retain certain information after account deletion where we are required or permitted to do so by law, including transaction and payment records needed for tax, accounting, and financial reporting obligations; information necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or prevent fraud and abuse; and records that Clinics are independently required to keep, such as records subject to healthcare or other regulatory requirements.

Information retained for these purposes is limited to what is necessary and is deleted or anonymized once it is no longer required.

4. Information Held by Clinics

The Clinics whose services you access through the app are independent businesses and separate data controllers. When you book appointments or make purchases, your information is also held by the relevant Clinic.

Deleting your Velarya account does not automatically delete records held independently by a Clinic. If you wish to have a Clinic delete the information it holds about you, you should contact that Clinic directly. Clinics are responsible for their own data practices and for compliance with applicable laws, including healthcare regulations.

5. Deletion Timeline

We will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days of your request, except for information we are permitted or required to retain as described in Section 3.

6. Reactivation

Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use a Velarya-powered app again in the future, you will need to create a new account.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). For more information about these rights and how to exercise them, please see our Privacy Policy.
