A branded loyalty app with your name on it

Not a portal, and not a web page saved to a home screen. A real branded loyalty app in the App Store and on Google Play, under your practice’s name, where patients book, earn points and spend their rewards.

A branded app puts your practice’s name on your patients’ phones. Yours is listed in the App Store and Google Play under that name, opens straight into your practice, and sends its push notifications as your app. Inside it, patients book, earn points, turn them into wallet credit, buy memberships, refer friends and check in with a QR code. We build it, set up the store listings with you and publish it under your own Apple developer account. It comes with the Branded and Connected plans.

The Velarya app vs your own app

Every plan includes the Velarya app, which is live on the App Store and Google Play and restyles itself in your colors. Your own app does the same things. What changes is whose app it is.

Branded and Connected

The first four rows are what your own app changes. Both apps carry the same program, so moving from the Velarya app to your own app changes where patients find you and whose name is on the phone, not how the program runs.

Book at midnight

With Velarya booking on, patients book whenever suits them, not only when the front desk picks up. With it off, they buy treatments in the app and book with you as they do now.

Buy without asking

Treatments and memberships sell from the phone, with member pricing applied and payment going to your own Stripe account.

Come back on their own

Points, wallet credit, referral codes and QR check-ins live in the app, and reminders and program notifications arrive by push.

Each of those has its own page: booking in the app, memberships, the points program and referrals.

Why a practice wants its own app

A patient who searches the App Store for your practice’s name finds your practice. The app on their home screen carries your name, and every reminder and program notification arrives from it. For a practice that has spent years building its name, that is the difference between patients remembering the practice and patients remembering the software.

It also settles who holds the listing. Your app is published under your own Apple developer account, which belongs to your practice and which you keep. Apple has rules about who may submit an app under a business’s name, and they decide who owns the listing if you ever change vendors. We wrote that up, with what custom builds usually cost, in what a custom med spa app really costs. How other loyalty vendors handle the app and its listing is compared in Velarya vs Kangaroo Rewards and Velarya vs RepeatMD.

A healthcare app has to earn its place on the home screen, and yours does it by opening straight into your practice with the patient’s points, credit and membership one tap away. It also spares you the usual trade-off between a small business app builder, where your team assembles the app from templates, and a custom app for business from an agency, which you pay to design, build and keep updated. We build yours, publish it and keep it current.

How your app gets built

You send us your branding. We do the rest, and your team never handles a signing key or an upload.

  1. You send your practice name, logo, icon and colors.

  2. We set up the store accounts with you. Apple requires an app published under your practice’s name to sit in your practice’s own Apple developer account, so that is where your app lives.

  3. We build your app and prepare the store listings.

  4. We submit it to Apple and Google and publish it under your name once it passes their review.

  5. After launch, we keep it up to date as Velarya improves.

Apple and Google review every new app and every update before it reaches patients. What they publish about that process, with the section numbers, is in getting a clinic app approved, and every update after that.

One app for every location

A group with several sites gets one app, not one per site. Patients choose their location inside it, and their points and wallet credit follow them wherever they visit. Opening another location adds it to the same app. How the program works across sites is on the multi-location page.

Start in the Velarya app, move to your own

Your own app comes with the Branded and Connected plans. Every plan, including Basic and Scale, includes the Velarya app in your colors, so a practice can start there and move to its own app later without changing how the program runs. There is no setup fee on any plan. See pricing for what each plan includes, or book a demo to see the app with your branding.

Frequently asked questions

What is a branded loyalty app?

An app in the App Store and Google Play under your practice’s own name, where patients earn and redeem rewards. In Velarya it is your own app: patients book, earn points, turn them into wallet credit, refer friends and manage their membership in it, and it opens straight into your practice.

How is our own app different from the Velarya app?

Both apps carry your colors and do the same things. Your own app is listed in the App Store and Google Play under your practice’s name, opens straight into your practice with no practice picker, sends push notifications from your app, and is published under your own Apple developer account.

Do we need our own Apple developer account?

Yes, and we set it up with you. Apple requires an app published under your practice’s name to sit in your practice’s own Apple developer account. We build the app and publish it on your behalf, so your team never handles a signing key or an upload.

Who owns the app listing?

Your practice. The app is published under your own Apple developer account, which belongs to your practice and which you keep. We build and publish on your behalf.

Can patients book appointments in our own app?

Yes, with Velarya booking on: patients book, earn and redeem in the same app. If you schedule in another system, switch Velarya booking off. Patients then buy treatments and use their rewards in the app, and book with you the way they do now.

Do we need a separate app for each location?

No. One app covers every location, and patients choose theirs inside it. Their points and wallet credit follow them from site to site.

Which plans include our own app?

The Branded and Connected plans. On every plan, patients can use the Velarya app in your colors, and the pricing page lists what each plan adds.

What is the difference between a white label loyalty app and a custom loyalty app?

A white label app runs on software that already exists, with your name and branding on it; a custom one is written from scratch for a single business. Your own app in Velarya is white label: it runs the same program as the Velarya app, under your practice’s name, icon and colors.

How do I get an app for my business?

Choose the Branded or Connected plan and send us your business name, logo, icon and colors. We set up the store accounts with you, build the app, and publish it in the App Store and Google Play under your name once Apple and Google approve it.
