The app

Where do members see their plan?

In an app on their phone. On every plan that is the Velarya app on the App Store and Google Play, styled in your colors and opening straight into your practice, where members see their membership, their points and their wallet credit. On the Branded and Connected plans it is your own app, listed under your practice’s name and published under your own Apple developer account.

Referrals

Who is rewarded for a referral?

Both people. Every patient has a personal code to share from the app. When a friend joins your practice with it and meets the rule you set, such as a first paid treatment or joining a membership, both of them are rewarded with points or a free treatment, and checks for self-referrals run on every one.

What Clerri says

Clerri’s guide to moving a plan says the member portal lets patients enroll family members and invite friends to join. Clerri Rewards, launched in March 2026, is a program for practice staff, who earn rewards for enrolling new members.

Where do members book?

In the same app, on Velarya’s own calendar, where they earn points on what they spend and redeem their rewards. Happy with the scheduler in your practice software? Switch Velarya booking off, and members book with you the way they do today while the app carries the plan, the points and the referrals.

Moving from Clerri

There is no setup fee on any plan, and you can keep your EMR. Here is who does what.

  1. Check your agreement’s renewal date. Clerri’s published Plan Administration Agreement renews unless either side gives written notice at least 60 days before the term ends, and members already enrolled keep their benefits until their memberships expire. Your signed order governs.

  2. See your program in a demo, with your practice’s branding in the app.

  3. We set up the program with you, and on Branded and Connected we build your own app and publish it under your Apple developer account.

  4. Keep your EMR and your scheduler, or move booking into the app. The chart stays where it is.

What happened to Kleer?

Kleer and Membersy were renamed Clerri, according to Clerri’s announcement of July 29, 2025, and kleer.com now redirects to clerri.com. The membership plan platform practices knew as Kleer is the one this page compares.

Is Velarya a Kleer or Clerri alternative?

Yes, for practices that want the membership plan to live inside a loyalty program. Both run in-house membership plans, both charge no setup fee and both sign a BAA. Velarya adds points, referral rewards for both people and booking around the plan, in one app your patients carry.

Where do Clerri members manage their membership?

How much does Clerri cost?

Clerri quotes per practice. Its published Plan Administration Agreement describes a processing fee on each transaction, a monthly fee per connected merchant account and administrative fees set on each practice’s order. Velarya publishes its plans on its pricing page, priced per location, with no setup fee.

Can patients book appointments in the app?

In Velarya, yes: on Velarya’s own calendar, in the same app where they earn and redeem. If you would rather keep the scheduler in your practice software, switch Velarya booking off. Clerri’s patient FAQ says scheduling is handled by the dental office, outside Clerri.

Does Velarya sign a BAA?

Yes. A membership plan and a loyalty program both know who your patients are and what they buy, so they hold patient data. Velarya signs a Business Associate Agreement with every practice, on every plan. Clerri publishes a Business Associate Addendum too.

Does Velarya replace our practice management software?

No. Velarya is a patient loyalty platform that runs beside the practice software you already use, which keeps the chart, the schedule and the insurance claims. The app carries the membership plan, the points and the referrals.
