Membership, or points?

Both, in one program. Members can earn points on what they spend at a higher rate than everyone else, earn more for QR check-ins and referrals, and turn their points into wallet credit they spend with you. Patients who are not members yet earn too, which gives your front desk a reason to bring up the membership at the next visit.

The app

Where do members see their plan?

In an app on their phone. On every plan that is the Velarya app on the App Store and Google Play, styled in your colors and opening straight into your practice, where members see their membership, their points and their wallet credit. On the Branded and Connected plans it is your own app, listed under your practice’s name.

In the same app, on Velarya’s own calendar, where they earn points on what they spend and redeem their rewards. Happy with your scheduler? Switch Velarya booking off, and members book with you the way they do today while the app carries the plan, the points and the referrals.

Moving from BoomCloud

There is no setup fee on any plan, and you can keep your EMR. Here is who does what.

  1. Export your member list before you cancel. BoomCloud’s terms let a practice cancel at the end of a billing cycle and export its member data for 30 days afterwards.

  2. See your program in a demo, with your practice’s branding in the app.

  3. We set up the program with you, and on Branded and Connected we build your own app and publish it under your Apple developer account.

  4. Keep your EMR and your scheduler, or move booking into the app. The chart stays where it is.

Is Velarya a BoomCloud alternative?

Yes, for practices that want the membership plan to sit inside a loyalty program. Both run in-house memberships, both publish their prices, neither charges a setup fee and both sign a BAA. Velarya adds points, referral rewards for both people and booking around the membership, in one app your patients carry.

How much does BoomCloud cost?

BoomCloud publishes its prices on its pricing page: a monthly fee per location plus a fee per active member, with a custom annual agreement for multi-location groups. Velarya publishes its plans on its pricing page too, priced per location, with no setup fee.

Does BoomCloud require a contract?

BoomCloud’s pricing page says there is no long-term contract, and its terms let either side cancel at the end of a billing cycle. Velarya’s monthly plans cancel any time, or you can pay annually, prepaid, for a lower rate.

Can members earn points as well as pay for a membership?

In Velarya, yes. Members can earn points at a higher rate than everyone else, and every patient can earn for spending, QR check-ins and referrals, then turn points into wallet credit. The membership and the loyalty program reward the same patient twice.

Where do members manage their membership?

BoomCloud describes a web member portal for the plan, benefits and payments. In Velarya, members manage it in an app on their phone: the Velarya app in your colors on every plan, or your own app under your practice’s name on Branded and Connected.

Can patients book appointments in the app?

In Velarya, yes: on Velarya’s own calendar, in the same app where they earn and redeem. If you would rather keep your current scheduler, switch Velarya booking off. BoomCloud’s integrations page says scheduling stays in the practice’s existing system.

Does Velarya sign a BAA?

Yes. A membership program knows who your patients are and what they buy, so it holds patient data. Velarya signs a Business Associate Agreement with every practice, on every plan. BoomCloud’s privacy policy and terms say it acts as a business associate where patient data is involved.

Does Velarya replace our practice software?

No. Velarya is a patient loyalty platform that runs beside the software you already use, which keeps the chart and the schedule if you want it to. The app carries the membership, the points and the referrals.
