Points on Podium payments, with review invites after visits

Available on request. Our team builds the Podium connection for your practice after a scoping call. Once built, members sync to Podium contacts, a completed visit can send a Podium review invite by text or email, and a successful Podium payment can add points to the member's balance. Review invites carry no points, so they stay within Google's policy on incentives for reviews.

  • Creates or updates a Podium contact for every loyalty member
  • Sends a Podium review invite after a completed visit, with no points
  • Adds points when a Podium invoice payment succeeds
  • Matches Podium payments to members by phone number or email

How it works

Available on request. Book a call, we scope it against Podium's published API, build and test it with your team, and it goes live in your account.

  1. A Podium user in your organization authorizes the connection.

  2. Velarya's signed webhooks tell the connection when a member changes or an appointment is completed.

  3. The connection creates a review invite link through Podium's API and sends it with Podium's messaging endpoint.

  4. Podium's signed invoice webhooks tell the connection when a payment succeeds, and the member's points are added in Velarya.

Each connection is scoped on a call and quoted separately, and the timeline is agreed on that call.

Questions

About the Podium connection

Does Velarya integrate with Podium?

Available on request: our team builds the connection for your practice after a scoping call, using Podium's published API. Once it is live, Podium invoice payments can add points, and completed visits can trigger a Podium review invite.

Can a Podium review invite earn points?

Review invites go out with no points or rewards attached, in line with Google's policy against incentives for reviews. Points come from spending instead: a successful Podium payment can add points to the member's balance.

How are Podium payments matched to members?

Each Podium invoice belongs to a contact. The connection matches that contact to a Velarya member by phone number or email, then adds points under your program's earn rules. Payments with no matching member are held for your team to review.

What does Podium need from us?

A Podium user in your organization to authorize the connection, Podium payments in use if you want them to earn points, and Podium's BAA in place through your Podium Terms.

Will patients get two review requests?

Only if two systems send one. If Podium already sends review invites from another trigger, we turn one of them off during the build so each patient gets a single invite per visit.

Patient data

Contacts, visits and payments tied to named patients are protected health information. Podium's Terms apply its BAA when your practice is a covered entity, and Velarya signs its own BAA with you. Only payment amounts and contact matches come into Velarya, and treatment names stay out of Podium.

“If Client is a Covered Entity or Business Associate, as defined in HIPAA, Podium and Client agree to the terms of Podium’s BAA”
