Where do clients see their points?

In the app on their phone. On every plan that is the Velarya app on the App Store and Google Play, styled in your colors and opening straight into your practice, where clients see their points, their wallet credit and their next booking. Points come from what clients spend, at the rate you set, plus QR check-ins, referrals, a sign-up bonus and a birthday gift, and they turn into wallet credit clients spend with you. On the Branded and Connected plans it is your own app.

What Mindbody says

Mindbody's help center describes Client Rewards as a built-in loyalty program, with points for online bookings, purchases and referrals that clients redeem as a payment method. It says points are not displayed, earned or redeemed with a branded app, and that clients find their balance on the business's Mindbody consumer site.

What Mindbody says

Mindbody's terms ask a customer subject to HIPAA to enter into a BAA, which its help center says US businesses subject to HIPAA can request. The same article says the BAA covers Mindbody's SOAP Notes and Progress Notes features only, not the platform broadly, and its Marketing Suite FAQ says the Marketing Suite is not HIPAA compliant.

Who is rewarded for a referral?

Both people, on every plan. A patient shares from the app, and when the friend joins your practice and meets the rule you set, such as a first paid treatment or joining a membership, both of them are rewarded with points or a treatment.

What Mindbody says

Mindbody's Marketing Suite referral program sends the new client an offer and rewards the referrer by email and text, as a percent off, a money-off amount, a custom offer or an intro package. Its branded app can pay both people in account credit, and its package breakdown lists the automated referral program from the Ultimate plan.

There is no setup fee on any plan, and you can keep your EMR. Here is who does what.

  1. Check your Order Form before you cancel. Mindbody's Terms of Service, as read on October 2, 2026, start with a 90-day term that renews every 30 days with 30 days' notice, and ending early leaves the fees for the whole term owing. Your signed order governs.

  2. See your program in a demo, with your practice’s branding in the app.

  3. We set up the program with you, and on Branded and Connected we build your own app and publish it under your Apple developer account.

  4. Keep your EMR and your scheduler, or move booking into the app. The chart stays where it is.
