A massage membership program your clients run from the app
A massage membership program clients buy, use and renew in one app: a session each month from the list you choose, member pricing on longer massages and add-ons, and points on what they spend.
What you get
Built for massage and wellness practices
Monthly credits, included treatments and member pricing, bought and renewed in the app.
Points on what people spend on treatments, at a higher rate for members, turned into wallet credit they spend in the app.
Book, earn and redeem in one app, or switch Velarya booking off and keep the scheduler you use today.
Appointment reminders and program notifications by push, SMS and email.
Payments to your own Stripe
Money from the app and the front desk settles in your own Stripe account, with in-person card readers.
HIPAA-ready, with a signed BAA
Sensitive personal data is encrypted and access-logged, and Velarya signs a Business Associate Agreement with every practice.
The app
Book, earn and redeem in one app
Clients book, collect points, check in with a QR code and spend their wallet credit in one app. On every plan that is the Velarya app on the App Store and Google Play, styled in your colors. On the Branded and Connected plans it is your own app, listed in both stores under your name.

A sample practice. Every name, member and number in it is made up.

The monthly session is the plan
Massage is a habit business. Clients who come every month carry the practice, and a membership is how that monthly visit becomes a plan rather than a good intention. Velarya is massage membership software built into the app your clients already book and earn in: the session each cycle, the member price on everything else and the renewal all live on their phone.
Designing a massage therapy membership
| Building block | What the member gets | Works well for |
|---|---|---|
| An included session | One treatment each cycle, picked from a list you choose | A 60-minute massage, or a choice of two modalities |
| Member pricing | A percentage off a category, or a fixed member price on a treatment | Longer sessions, add-ons such as hot stones or cupping |
| Wallet credit | An amount added each cycle, spent on any treatment | Clients who mix massage with other services |
Price the plan so the included session costs a member less than booking it outright, and let member pricing do the rest. A member who upgrades to 90 minutes at a member price is the plan working, not leaking.
Billing a massage subscription
A massage subscription is a membership that bills on a schedule: monthly, quarterly or once a year on the member’s card, through your own Stripe account, and a yearly plan is charged up front. It renews automatically on the date the member joined. Monthly and quarterly plans can carry an optional commitment of three, six or twelve months with an early-cancel fee you set. Your front desk can sell a plan by sending a payment link.
What members see in the app
Members see the session waiting for them, claim it and book a time, and get a reminder before the visit. Member pricing applies when they pay, any credit sits in their wallet, and they earn points at the rate you set. They can cancel from the app, and the membership runs to the end of the period they paid for. The full program for massage practices is on the massage loyalty program page.
Membership terms worth checking
This is not legal advice. Automatic renewal is governed by state law and, for online sign-ups, the federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, now that the FTC’s 2024 click-to-cancel amendments were vacated by the Eighth Circuit in July 2025. California’s Automatic Renewal Law and New York City’s click-to-cancel rule, which took effect on October 1, 2026, both expect clear terms and a simple way to cancel. Have your terms reviewed for the states you sell in.
Frequently asked questions
How does a massage membership program work?
Clients pay on a schedule and get a massage each cycle, plus member pricing on everything else. In Velarya the plan lives in the app your clients book in: they claim the session, book it and pay member prices without anyone at the desk working anything out.
What should a massage membership include?
One session a cycle that covers what most members book, such as a 60-minute massage, picked from a short list you choose. Put member pricing on longer sessions and add-ons, so a member who wants 90 minutes or hot stones pays less than a walk-in and still books with you.
Is a massage therapy subscription the same as a massage therapy membership?
Yes, clients use both words for a plan they pay for on a schedule. In Velarya you build the plan once: it bills monthly, quarterly or once a year like a subscription, and it gives a session each cycle and member pricing like a membership.
Can clients pay monthly or once a year?
Both. A plan bills monthly, quarterly or once a year on the member's card, and a yearly plan is charged up front. It renews automatically, and monthly and quarterly plans can carry an optional commitment with an early-cancel fee you set.
Do members get reminded to use their session?
Yes. Members see the session waiting in the app, and appointment reminders go out as push notifications from your app before each booked visit.
Can members cancel in the app?
Yes. A member can cancel from the app, and the membership runs to the end of the period they already paid for.
Do we have to use Velarya for booking?
No. With booking off, members claim their session in the app and book with you by phone or message. With booking on, they claim, book and pay in the same app.
