The Best Med Spa Loyalty Software in 2026: Ten Platforms Compared

Three podium blocks of rising height, a violet star on the tallest

The best loyalty software for a med spa is the one your patients open between appointments, that pays out into your own account, and that your compliance lead can sign off in writing. We compared ten platforms on the four things that decide that: whose name is on the app, what the vendor commits to in writing about HIPAA and a Business Associate Agreement, what it costs, and whether it works beside the software your front desk already uses.

Every fact about another vendor in this post comes from that vendor's own website, legal pages or App Store listing, read on September 22, 2026, and each one is linked in the sources at the end. Where a vendor's pages did not answer a question, the tables say to ask them rather than guess. Prices change often, so treat every figure as a starting point for a call, not a quote.

One disclosure before the list. We make Velarya, a patient loyalty platform, and it is one of the ten. RepeatMD reports more than 4,000 practices on its home page, so on this list we are the challenger, not the incumbent. We hold our own entry to the same standard as everyone else's: every claim about Velarya is on our website, and our prices are on our pricing page.

The ten platforms at a glance

Three kinds of product answer the search for med spa loyalty software. Dedicated patient loyalty apps sit beside whatever runs your calendar. Loyalty platforms built for every kind of business add a med spa page or package. And practice software for salons, spas and med spas includes loyalty as one module. The table sorts them in that order.

The rest of this post takes the four questions one at a time, then walks through each platform.

Whose name is on the app

A loyalty program works when patients open it between visits, which is why the app matters more than the points math. Two details decide whether the relationship reads as yours: the name under the icon on the patient's home screen, and the seller named on the App Store listing. The platforms that document their app fall into three models.

One app for every practice, branded after login. RepeatMD's help center says one universal app, MyRepeat: Patient Rewards, serves all RepeatMD practices. Patients find it in the store under that name, the icon switches to the practice's icon after they log in, and the title on the home screen stays Patient Rewards. Its consumer site adds that the app looks individual to each practice while RepeatMD is the merchant of record, which is why patients see MyRepeat on their bank statements.

Your brand inside the vendor's app or wallet. Preferred Patron's entry package puts a branded loyalty experience inside its Patron Loyalty app and the mobile wallet, and its FAQ says clients can also take part through SMS or web links without downloading anything new. Kangaroo gives every plan its members app, and adds "your own white label branded app" on Elite. On the US App Store, Kangaroo's members app and several merchant-branded apps built on it list Mobicept Inc., Kangaroo's company, as the seller.

An app under the practice's own name. Patient Plus says its app runs as the clinic's brand on the App Store and Google Play, and that most clinics are live within five to seven working days. Loyalty Flow describes a loyalty app under the clinic's own brand, and adds a custom app icon and splash screen on its Studio plan.

Velarya covers the last two models. The Velarya app is live on the App Store and Google Play on every plan, takes on your practice's colors and can carry your icon. On the Branded and Connected plans we build your own iOS and Android app and publish it under your practice's name from your own Apple developer account, which you own and keep. Your app opens straight into your practice, and push notifications arrive from it rather than from us. Whichever vendor you talk to, ask one question: whose developer account will the listing sit in, and what happens to it if you leave?

HIPAA and BAAs: what each vendor says in writing

A loyalty program knows who your patients are and which treatments they buy. Whether HIPAA applies to your med spa depends on how you bill, and our guide to whether a cash-pay med spa is a HIPAA covered entity covers that question. For a comparison, the useful thing is narrower: what each vendor commits to in its own documents. Here is what each one says, sorted from the firmest commitment down.

Platform

What its own pages say

Where it says it

Velarya

Signs a Business Associate Agreement with every practice, on every plan

Velarya’s security page

Zenoti

Is HIPAA-compliant and provides a signed BAA to all med spa customers

Loyalty programs page

RepeatMD

Its Business Associate Addendum is incorporated into the agreement when the customer is a HIPAA covered entity

Master Subscription Agreement

Preferred Patron

A BAA is included during signup

Med spa and salon page, FAQ

Loyalty Flow

Stores no PHI by design and keeps loyalty data only; a BAA is available on request

Pricing page, FAQ

Boulevard

Shows HIPAA Compliant, SOC 2 and PCI Level 1 badges, and answers yes to being HIPAA compliant

Pricing page FAQ and data security page

AestheticsPro

Describes its platform as HIPAA-compliant

Home page

Kangaroo Rewards

The customer is responsible for deciding whether Kangaroo's products suit regulations such as HIPAA, and Kangaroo is not liable if they do not meet them

Terms of Service Agreement, last revised January 2022

Perkville

Asks users not to send sensitive information, including medical or health conditions, unless the law requires it

Privacy policy dated May 14, 2026

Patient Plus

We found no HIPAA or BAA terms on its site when we read it on September 22, 2026, so ask Patient Plus directly

Its site: the home page and its footer links

Two clear positions sit in that table. Loyalty Flow says it stores no PHI by design and keeps loyalty data only. Ours is that a program that knows who your patients are and what they buy holds patient data, so Velarya signs for it. Either way, get the answer in writing before any patient list moves, and check which plan it applies to.

What it costs, and what the price page leaves out

Of the platforms that publish a figure, the entry prices run from Kangaroo's $79 USD a month to Loyalty Flow's $299, and the top published plan is Loyalty Flow's Studio at $599 a month. RepeatMD and Zenoti quote on a call. The headline number is rarely the bill, because the unit and the extras differ from one vendor to the next.

Question

Why it changes the bill

Is the price per location or per account?

Preferred Patron, Perkville and Boulevard's upper plans price each location. A group with four locations should multiply before comparing.

Is there a setup fee?

Loyalty Flow offers an optional $499 setup. Preferred Patron and Patient Plus both say there is no setup fee.

How many text messages are included?

Loyalty Flow includes 500 or 2,000 SMS segments a month, then $0.02 a segment. Preferred Patron lists monthly SMS and email allowances on each of its three packages.

Who is the merchant of record?

If the vendor is, patients see its name on their statements and the money reaches you after it passes through the vendor.

What does annual billing change?

Perkville takes 10% off for a one-year term. Ask every vendor what you commit to, and what monthly billing costs instead.

Velarya prices every plan per location, per month, and the figures are all on the pricing page. You can pay annually and get one month free or pay monthly and cancel any time. There is no setup fee on any plan. Every plan includes a monthly SMS allowance, with extra messages metered. Payments from the app settle in your own Stripe account, and integrations built on request are scoped on a call and quoted separately.

A loyalty app, or the loyalty module in your practice software

Three of the ten sell practice software with loyalty inside it. Zenoti awards points at checkout for services, retail, referrals and renewals, and lets you run a flat or tiered program. Boulevard sells a Loyalty and Offers feature. AestheticsPro includes a rewards program tied to customer spending. If you already use one of them, the module arrives with software you pay for anyway, and the program lives inside that vendor's software and app.

The dedicated loyalty apps take the opposite approach and sit beside whatever runs your calendar. RepeatMD's FAQ says all its clients use an existing EMR or PM system. Kangaroo's med spa page says it works with your existing booking system. Preferred Patron says no POS replacement is required.

Velarya works beside your current software in one of two ways. Leave Velarya booking on, and patients book, earn and redeem in one app. Or switch it off and keep your current scheduler: the app becomes a shop-and-rewards app where patients buy treatments, earn points on what they buy, check in with a QR code that your staff scan at the desk, and book with you the way they do today, by phone or WhatsApp straight from the app. Your EMR or practice software keeps the chart either way. We explain both setups in how Velarya runs beside your current software.

Whichever app you choose, ask the vendor one practical question: when a visit is booked and paid in my current software, how does the patient earn for it? Every loyalty app has an answer. Make sure it is one your front desk will actually follow on a busy Saturday.

Where Allē, ASPIRE and Evolus Rewards fit

Manufacturer programs are not software you buy, but patients will ask about them. Allē from AbbVie, ASPIRE from Galderma, Xperience+ from Merz and Evolus Rewards each run one brand-owned app or portal across every participating practice, and their rewards are built around that manufacturer's own products. They cost the patient nothing and they can run alongside your own program. Preferred Patron's FAQ makes the same point from the other side: manufacturer rewards are built to grow use of the manufacturer's own products, so a practice program is what rewards loyalty to you.

The short version: keep the Allē points, and own the patient relationship in your own app. We compared what each manufacturer program publishes in our guide to med spa manufacturer loyalty programs.

The ten, one by one

Velarya

A HIPAA-ready patient loyalty platform for healthcare and beauty practices. Patients earn points on what they spend on treatments, members can earn at a higher rate, and points turn into wallet credit they spend in the app. You set how many points each dollar earns. Around that sit a sign-up bonus, a birthday gift, referral rewards for both people, check-in and referral challenges, QR check-ins at the desk, and promo codes that work in the app, on the web and at the front desk. Paid memberships carry monthly credits, included treatments and member pricing, and patients buy and manage them in the app. Push, SMS and email handle reminders and program notifications, and two-way texting runs from your practice's own number. Velarya signs a BAA on every plan, publishes its prices, settles payments in your Stripe account and runs across multiple locations. The loyalty program page shows it end to end.

RepeatMD

Rewards, AI treatment advisors, memberships, patient financing and ecommerce, including its SkinDrop professional skincare catalog, inside one patient app. It names med spas, cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, wellness and integrative medicine, cosmetic dentistry and chiropractic as its markets, and says it builds a practice's app in 30 days or less. Pricing is by proposal. We compare the two in detail in Velarya vs RepeatMD.

Loyalty Flow

A patient app for medical aesthetics with two plans: Solo for a single-location clinic and Studio for a growing or multi-location practice. Its pricing page lists points and tiers, flash drops, memberships through Stripe or Payroc, and referrals, and it charges a flat fee with no share of revenue. Its home page says it was built by a med spa owner for his own clinics.

Patient Plus

A white-label loyalty app for med spas, dental, aesthetic and beauty clinics, made by Zums AI OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. It offers one clinic plan with a 14-day free trial and no setup fee, and says most clinics are live in both app stores within five to seven working days.

Preferred Patron

A loyalty platform for many kinds of business, with a dedicated med spa and salon package in three tiers: Glow Starter, Membership Growth and Aesthetic Elite. The upper tiers add points rules, VIP tiers, packages, referrals, multi-location programs and API or webhook options. Its FAQ positions the program as an addition to Allē and ASPIRE rather than a substitute.

Kangaroo Rewards

A customer loyalty and engagement platform used across retail, restaurants and ecommerce, with a med spa page headed "Turn Every Treatment Into Lifelong Loyalty". Its plans run Core, Plus, Elite and Enterprise, with the white-label app arriving on Elite. We compare it with Velarya in Velarya vs Kangaroo Rewards.

Perkville

A loyalty and referral platform that leads with gyms and fitness studios and also serves salons and spas. Pricing is per location and set by the average number of customers each location has, with discounts for five or more locations and for longer terms. Its partner directory includes Boulevard, Zenoti and Mindbody.

Zenoti

Management software for salons, spas, med spas and fitness, where loyalty is part of checkout. Points are awarded at checkout, with a minimum for redemption, a maximum per invoice and a set value per point, and front desk staff can adjust balances by hand. Pricing is by quote.

Boulevard

Scheduling and client experience software for salons, spas, barbers, massage and med spas. Loyalty and Offers is one feature in a wider product, and pricing runs across three plans, Essentials, Premier and Prestige.

AestheticsPro

Med spa practice software covering scheduling, EMR, payments, marketing and a loyalty module that rewards customer spending. It publishes three plans and notes that Canadian pricing is offered.

How to shortlist in an afternoon

Send the same six questions to every vendor on your list, and ask for the answers in writing. The replies sort a shortlist faster than any demo.

  • Whose name is on the App Store listing, and whose developer account is it in? The best answer is your practice's name, in an account you own.

  • Will you sign a BAA, and on which plan? Yes, in writing, before any patient data moves.

  • Where does the money settle? In your own payment account, not the vendor's.

  • How do patients earn for visits booked in my current software? A concrete answer your front desk can follow on day one, such as a QR scan at check-in.

  • What is the full monthly bill for my locations? The per-location price, the messaging allowance, any setup fee and card processing, together.

  • What happens to points and credit if we leave? An export of every patient's balance, and enough notice to settle them fairly.

If you want to see how Velarya answers all six against your own practice, book a demo. We will show you the app your patients would use and walk through the plan that fits your locations.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best loyalty software for a med spa?

The one that gets four things right for your practice: an app your patients recognize as yours, a BAA in writing, a price you can see before the call, and a setup that works with the software your team already uses. Velarya is built for practices that want all four, plus booking, memberships and rewards in the same app.

Which med spa loyalty platforms sign a BAA?

On their own pages, read September 22, 2026: Velarya signs one with every practice on every plan, Zenoti says it provides a signed BAA to all med spa customers, RepeatMD incorporates its Business Associate Addendum for covered entities, Preferred Patron includes one at signup, and Loyalty Flow offers one on request. Confirm the terms and the plan with any vendor before you sign.

Can my med spa have its own app in the App Store?

Yes. On the Branded and Connected plans, Velarya builds your own iOS and Android app and publishes it under your practice's name from your own Apple developer account. Kangaroo includes a white-label app on its Elite plan, and Patient Plus and Loyalty Flow both describe apps under the clinic's brand. Ask each vendor whose developer account the listing sits in.

How much does med spa loyalty software cost?

Published prices on September 22, 2026 ran from $79 USD a month for Kangaroo's Core plan to $599 a month for Loyalty Flow's Studio plan. Preferred Patron charged $99 to $299 a month per location and Perkville $159 to $259 per location. RepeatMD and Zenoti quote on a call. Velarya's per-location prices are on its pricing page.

Do I have to change my booking software to add a loyalty app?

No. With Velarya, patients can book in the app, or you can switch Velarya booking off and keep your current scheduler while patients buy treatments, earn points and check in with a QR code. Your EMR or practice software keeps the chart either way. Kangaroo says it works with your existing booking system, and Preferred Patron says no POS change is required.

Should I stop offering Allē if I start my own program?

There is no need to choose. Allē is AbbVie's program, it lives in AbbVie's app, and its rewards are built around Allergan Aesthetics products. Your own program rewards visits to your practice and lives in your app. The two run side by side.

What is the difference between a loyalty program and a membership?

A loyalty program rewards what patients already do, such as spending, checking in and referring friends. A membership is a recurring payment that buys monthly credits, included treatments or member pricing. Velarya runs both in the same app, and members can earn points at a higher rate.
